Building Vascular Binary Trees
The retinal vascular system should be considered as a whole system. Thus, the main
features such as ONH and macula should be extracted correctly. The ONH is the area
where the segment roots start. The macula is the most important area for detection
of sight-threatening pathologies. Therefore, defining the locations of the ONH and
the macula are crucial in building the whole retinal vascular trees. These features
will be used as a guide for any methods to study the vascular connectivity.
